From beginners to elite runners & paddleboarders, this race is for everyone! The 5K Run/Walk is a USA Track & Field sanctioned event. Tour beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach, with white sand and clear skies. Feel the pounding surf and ocean breeze as you cruise down A1A. Paddleboarders will tour the beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach, but from the Atlantic Ocean. The 2M Stand-Up Paddleboard course will start at the same mileage marker as the 5K Run/Walk, head north for 1 mile and then turn around to finish at the starting point. Thanksgiving themed costumes are welcomed and encouraged!

The Geckos-Tails to Toepads traveling exhibit introduces visitors to the remarkable diversity of lizards with engaging interactives and living examples from around the world. Lush, naturalistic habitats draw audiences into the geckos' realm. The gecko habitats re-create natural environments in astonishing detail. State-of-the-art controls provide lighting, humidity, temperature, and water quality to meet the needs of these delicate creatures. Visitors can experience gecko night vision, listen to gecko voices, learn unusual facts from gecko experts, try to spot camouflaged geckos, and build a custom gecko for various environments. The exhibition also presents cutting edge science, from the race to catalog and classify gecko diversity to unraveling the mysteries of gecko adhesion. Sponsored locally by Leo Goodwin Foundation.
